She said recently that while Los Angeles is where she works, home is most definitely in England.

So with Christmas just around the corner, Cheryl Cole was spotted arriving at LAX airport to catch a flight back to London this weekend.

The singer, 28, received VIP treatment at the airport, met by airline staff who carried her luggage and travel documents through the terminal.


Cheryl was in high spirits, smiling as she chatted to the greeter who met her at the curb.

The Parachute star has said she is looking forward to a quiet Christmas at home.
Her festive plans? 'Just family, dinner and dogs,' she said in a recent interview.

Cole may just be roasting the turkey and peeling the potatoes herself, too. 'I can do a full Christmas dinner,' she recently revealed. 'I find it quite therapeutic.’

Cheryl boarded her flight prepared for the frosty weather waiting for her at the other end.

She was dressed in leopard-print leggings and boots and bundled up in a cream fur jacket.

The former X Factor judge arrived back in the UK on Saturday, and tweeted, 'There's no place like home.'

But she certainly wasn't settling in for a night watching the X Factor final.

Cheryl admitted recently that she 'hasn't watched' this year's series, after departing the UK version herself last year and a brief stint on the US series.

They haven't spoken in almost a year but it seems Cher Lloyd hasn't let that stop her getting closer to former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole's look.

As the pint sized pop princess was spotted filming her latest video in L.A the 19-year-old looked more like her Geordie mentor than ever before.

Gone were the ripped jeans and trainers and in was a more stylish look suitable for a mini Cheryl Cole wannabee.


And the similarities don't stop there, the Swagger Jagger singer was even spotted puffing away on a cigarette during filming breaks.

Cheryl Cole is known to be a light smoker.

Cher came over to LA last Sunday and earlier this week visited the contestants of X Factor USA at their studio.

Coincidentally Cher's mentor Cheryl is also in LA at the moment working on her new album.

And Cher, 19, showed her teenage side on the shoot by snacking on a packet of crisps during filming breaks.

Cher recently told MailOnline how boyfriend Craig Monk, 21, keeps her grounded, and the pair showed they're certainly still completely smitten by linking arms and snuggling up to each other.

She said: 'No I haven't really heard from her, which is a shame, you know because we were quite close on the show.

When Kate asked if her new glossy mane was a 'conscious thing', Cher said: 'That's just come with being happy.

'Sometimes you get really run down and you don't feel at your best. if you're happy within, it shows on the outside.'

'I feel sexier than ever': Cheryl Cole shows off her curves after gaining 7lbs and getting her 'boobs and bum back'


She left fans worried about her health when she dropped to a tiny size six earlier this year after battling malaria.

But now Cheryl Cole has revealed her curves are back, after gaining 7lbs in the last six months, and said she feels sexier than ever with her new figure.

Cheryl, who is now a size eight, made the admission as she showed off her new figure in a sexy sparkly blue catsuit and pink tutu-style dress in the page of Grazia magazine.

She said: 'The curves are back, well and truly. I’ve got my boobs and bum back and, yeah, I like it. I think it’s sexy.

'When I’m really thin is normally when I am working non-stop. I don’t put any emphasis on thinking, ‘Oh, I’m thin at the moment.’

‘Right now I’ve got my curves back because I’ve had time off, I’m at home cooking, I’m more relaxed. I’m not defined by being seven pounds heavier than I was two months ago - I think it is really unhealthy to go there.'

Meanwhile, Cheryl also revealed that she is such a huge fan of high heels that she owns an astonishing 2,000 pairs, adding: ‘I hoard them all over the house: in cupboards in the kitchen, in the bathroom – every room.

‘There is a big chance when you open the fridge in my house there will be a pair of shoes at the bottom.’

The former X Factor judge, 28, said: ‘I’ve always, always loved shoes but over the past few years I’ve definitely developed a proper fetish.

'I actually own about 2,000 pairs of shoes – and that’s after giving quite a few away.’

Miss Cole, who boasts that she can walk and dance in shoes ‘of any height’, told Grazia magazine: ‘Because I’m quite small, to me getting dressed is all about the heels.

'I have a pair of Louboutins that are so cripplingly painful – but I’m trying to ease myself into them gently, wearing them for a few minutes every now and again.’

The singer, who was sacked from the X Factor USA in May dashing her Hollywood dreams, said: ‘For me, all shoes have memories - wearing them on a certain occasion like that means the shoe gets that memory.

‘If I can’t wear them again I also can’t get rid of them because they are so linked to that emotion. I’m probably a bit bonkers like that.’

She added: ‘My absolute aim is killer shoes that don’t kill your feet. I can walk in heels of any height and I can dance in them because I’ve just been doing this for so long,’ she says.

‘As a kid I was a ballet dancer and I always had really sore toes.

‘I had to have them broken and re-straightened, which sorted them out.

Within her debut shoe range, two of her styles include the ‘Ri Ri’ in honour of Rihanna and ‘Byker Groove’ boots as a nod to her Geordie roots.

Cheryl Cole ditches the high-maintenance glamour for sexy, tousled photoshoot with Hunger magazine

We're used to seeing Cheryl Cole groomed to perfection with glossy hair, immaculate make-up and form-fitting couture.

So its quite a surprise to see the former X Factor judge let her hair down in a relaxed, fun photoshoot for trendy photographer Rankin's new magazine Hunger.

In a video of the shoot, the 28-year-old looks sultry and seductive as she looks into the camera while dressed in an array of sexy outfits.

Instead of her usual preened dyed blonde locks hairsprayed into place, Cole's hair is wet and messy as if she was fresh out of the shower.

In one segment, Cheryl shows off her figure to full effect in a vintage-style white lace basque.

And in another series of shots, Cheryl wears a printed maxi dress as she leans against a pole.

The pole features again in a short sequence which shows a sweaty-looking Cheryl bending down towards it.

The online shoot, entiled 'Tear It Up' for Hunger TV coincides with the launch of Hunger magazine on Thursday.

The new publication comes 20 years after Rankin launched Dazed & Confused with Jefferson Hack.

The magazine is billed as 'a new platform for uncompromised self-expression, innovation and discover'.

Rankin said: 'More than two decades into my career as a photographer, I am still inspired by what I do everyday. I named my first retrospective exhibition ‘Visually Hungry’ – that’s how I felt. In a lot of ways, it is how I think I’ll feel until I die.'

Cheryl's racy shoot comes as the singer was forced to pull out of a Children In Need duet with Gary Barlow after being struck down with pharyngitis.

The Girls Aloud singer has been keeping a low-profile in recent months and is said to be recording her third solo album.

'I just ate everything': Cheryl Cole reveals how she was ordered by doctors to gain weight to save her life

Doctors ordered Cheryl Cole to stop exercising and put on weight after the health scare that almost killed her.
And the svelte star – who was given just 24 hours to live at one point after contracting malaria last year – had no choice but to obey them to beat the illness.
‘I just ate everything,’ she said.
Miss Cole, 28, revealed how being ill had changed her priorities. ‘It opened my eyes to health and things I hadn’t focused on before,’ she said.

‘It’s now less about work, work, work and more about making time to chill and be with my friends and family.’
Miss Cole, who caught malaria while on holiday in Tanzania with American dancer Derek Hough in June 2010, is currently single after a reconciliation with her former husband, footballer Ashley Cole, 30, petered out.

After her recovery from the disease, she went to America as one of the judges on The X Factor U.S.A.
At the press launch, she showed off her fuller figure, but was then fired after just four days of filming on the show.

Since then, she has returned to her trimmer self and has kept a relatively low profile, splitting her time between the U.S. and UK working on her music.

Speaking in the new issue of InStyle magazine, which goes on sale on Thursday, the Girls Aloud singer also revealed she had once enjoyed a drink with Amy Winehouse, who died in July.
But she admitted: ‘I’m awful at drinking. Don’t get us [sic] wrong, though – I like a drink if it’s a night out.’
Miss Cole also told of her fascination with tattoos, saying that ‘to me, it’s art’.
She has at least seven tattoos.

3 Words: Learn to tweet! Is Cheryl Cole the least interesting celebrity on Twitter?

Tweeting: Cheryl Cole's PA posted a photo on Twitter of the singer listening to music but it's usually her own tweets that are boring


She recently admitted that she was a 'rookie' when it came to using Twitter, and it seems that Cheryl Cole was correct.

The 28-year-old has been using the social networking site for a few years now but it seems she just can't get the hang of it.

The latest tweet involving the star came from her personal assistant, Lily England, who posted a picture of the singer listening to some music today.


'@CherylCole listening to her new tuuuuuunes!!! Looking rather serious..hmmm! X' she wrote to accompany a photo of the Geordie star looking quite bored.

But this isn't the first time that Cheryl's picture has been posted on the site, as almost every post seems to involve one.

It seems that the Promise This singer uses Twitter not only as a place where she can constantly tell her 'soldiers' how much she loves them but also uses it as a way of making statements about the current situations in her life.

If she's not tweeting about the music she's listening to or posting pictures of herself in white fluffy slippers, it seems the Girls Aloud singer is inviting fans to ask her questions - but even this is enough to send followers to sleep.

It seemed that every question Cheryl was asked, she replied with a rather cheesy answer, for example when a fan asked: '@VivLecher @CherylCole do you remember me saying you're my hero and I...' the singer replied by saying: 'I'll never forget...'

A week ago Cheryl used Twitter as the perfect place to poke fun at the Los Angeles lifestyle.

Yet again the post involved a photo of herself- but this time she was wearing a huge pair of fake lips and wrote: 'I think we've been in LA too long.'

But when Cheryl first moved to the U.S. to begin her new role as a judge on the American X Factor, she certainly wasn't poking fun.

However as her big career move quickly disintegrated and it emerged that she had been sacked, Cheryl suddenly went quiet on Twitter - but was soon back with a bit of a boring bang.

In September she tweeted about loving the smell of freshly cut grass and coffee in the morning, but her followers were most confused when she got a little personal with one post.

'Does anyone else HATE when they put flour on a bun (roll) its goes straight through me.. :&'

The star's nearest and dearest must have picked up on the dodgy tweet as later that day she wrote: 'Noooooooooooooooo... My friend just called me laughing that people have mis-unterstood my last tweet.. I need to get used to this don't I...'

But the embarrassment doesn't stop there as when Cheryl's not doing it, her close friends are.

Earlier this month, Black Eyed Peas singer Will.I.Am shared a not so flattering photo of his female friend during a night out at a launch party.

Looking rather drunk and clutching a bottle of Dom Perignon, Cheryl can be seen pouting and sticking her middle finger up to the camera - probably not the best impression to give to her teenage fans.

But it seems the singing star is not going to give up on getting to grips with the social networking site and made sure she tweeted as soon as she stepped off the plane today saying: 'Just landed.. Do not know where the time went.'

Not exactly cringe-worthy stuff but there's still room for improvement.
