Russell Brand files for divorce from Katy Perry after 14 months!

British actor Russell Brand filed for divorce on Friday from wife Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage. They met in 2008 and married on October 23, 2010, becoming one of the most high-profile couples in the entertainment industry. But their marriage has been in trouble for several weeks, according to celebrity media. They spent the Christmas holidays apart, with Brand being photographed in England and Perry spotted in Hawaii -- both without their wedding rings.

Brand filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday citing irreconcilable differences.
"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends," Brand said in a statement on Friday. Perry's spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment. Brand had dismissed rumors earlier in December that the marriage was in trouble.
"I am married to Katy perpetually. Until death do us part was the pledge. I am still alive," the comedian told US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Police Humiliates Sunny Neji, Undresses Him In Public At Gunpoint’

Popular pop highlife star and Oruka crooner Sunny Neji, is a man in pain. He is so angry at the humiliation meted out to him by men of the Nigerian Police Force that he decided to share his experience on Facebook.

Vanguard reporter MUKOSOLU NZOM had a brief chat with the Ogoja, Cross River State born star.

I saw what you up loaded just now, what happened?
Some policemen in uniform stopped me and started searching me as if I was a criminal.



And where did this happen?
It happened around the toll gate axis on Lagos Ibadan express way by 7-UP area, between 10 and 11 of that faithful morning. The officer in-charge of the team was one Inspector Katsina…and they were driving a convoy Hilux truck

How did it happen?
I was asked to stop and I did. And they started treating me as if I was already guilty of something. The inspector kept ranting about how they’ll deal with me if they found anything incriminating in my car. They searched the whole car and made me remove my shoes and my jacket. I wondered at their effrontery and what they were looking for.
They even went as far as asking for my Special Marshal I.D card. They just kept talking as if they were sure there was something in my car.
They turned my car inside out….I did not mind the searching but all the threats they were making as if they were so sure I was guilty even before finding any evidence made me uncomfortable
I think the Police can do better than what they did to me.
Don’t you think they did that because they wanted you to part with some money?
They intentionally did what they did because they wanted to embarrass me. I’m sure my name is not very strange to them.

And after the search, were you allowed to go?
They had to leave me now abi …….since they did not find anything. I’m not a criminal, it was pure police harassment
Worried that the same situation may arise next time, Nneji told Sunday Entertainment, that he decided to visit the station (Area H in Ogudu.)where the team works and this is what he said transpired.
”I decided to visit the area command where those officers came from to report the incident…”
“My peeps!!!!! No be small tin o….na so I go station this morning go sit down face to face wit the officers wey harass me the other day. They come dey beg dey apologize. The transformation was incredible. The 2IC ask me Wetin I want make dem do to dem….I look dem finish and I come begin sorry for dem. I say make dem just caution dem…. E go better!!!”.

Wow Jack Bauer Is Back As 24 Movie FINALLY Gets The Go Ahead

Jack Bauer fans worldwide were left devastated earlier this year when hit US TV series 24 came to an end.
But now they can breathe a sigh of relief as it has been revealed that a movie version of the show has been given the go ahead, seeing Kiefer Sutherland reprise his role as Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) agent Bauer.
As it was confirmed Fox will begin shooting the big-screen adventure next Spring, Sutherland was spotted looking more than a little happy in Los Angeles
 

A film of the much-loved show has been in the pipeline for the past few years, with Sutherland giving some hints about the plot of the movie in a previous interview.
He said: 'It's going to be a two-hour representation of a 24 hour day, so we were not going to be restrained by the real time aspect of the TV show. With the TV show we always had to have the crisis come to us because we couldn't move. Twice we put Jack on a plane and it was a disaster.
'This will be different - it will be very feasible to get from Eastern Europe to England in the course of 24 hours! And the crisis can be more personal - it doesn't have to be a huge bomb, it doesn't have to take out the rest of the world. It's very exciting.'

And, in an interview in October, Sutherland said he was more than a little excited about returning to the role of tough guy Bauer.

He said: 'We’re going to hopefully start production in April on the film, and that’ll be out later on in the year.
'We’re still a few months away, but we’ve got a script that we’re very excited about and we’re moving forward.'

"24" was the only show on television EVER to actually have you on the edge of your seat....compared to all of the sitcom schlock and reality TV that is out there now...I just wish it was coming back on TV each week...a movie justi sn't enough...and Chloe O'Brien better be in it ! She is the best suppporting actress ever and I heard the city of Los Angeles once named a street after Jack Bauer in gratitude for his saving the city several times. They had to rename it after people kept dying when they tried to cross the street. No one crosses Jack Bauer and lives.

Am hearing that Popular actor, Jim Iyke is in the news again. The actor fled his Abuja home when the real owners of his acclaimed brand new Cameron SS Convertible and Plymouth Prowler Convertible cars showed up. Jim had made everyone believe that he bought the vehicles for N 16 million. It was later found out that the cars were handed over to Jim by some close friends based in UK to take care of pending their return to Nigeria.
When the owners came, they were infuriated that Jim had inflicted some damages on the cars in the process of using them. We reliably gathered that the two expensive cars were handed over to Jim by his close friends who is based in UK to take care of pending when they will return to Nigeria and have need to use the cars.

Rather than adhering to his agreement with his pals,Jim not only hit the streets of Abuja with the automobiles but also alleged falsified information that he acquired the two cars for N16 million.

Actor Yemi Solade Accused Of Sexual Harassment On Facebook

A U.S based married woman, Bunmi Ladipo is accusing star actor Yemi Solade of harassing her sexually, and she claims the actor sent her his nude picture even after turning down his advances.

According to the lady, their relationship started about a month ago when the actor sent her a friend request on Facebook. “I accepted the friend request because I could recognize him as an actor and I didn’t envisage he would later turn out to constitute a nuisance.”.....Hmmmm facebook and its wahala....am sensing something, continue reading dearie.

Jim Iyke in court for duping lady N15million Days After Acquiring 2 State Of The Arts Cars

A film actor, Jim Iyke, 35, was on Thursday arraigned before an Abuja Chief Magistrates' Court charged with N15 million fraud.

The Police Prosecutor, Mr Chijoke Okezie, told the court that on Aug. 8, Habiba Abubakar wrote a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IG) to investigate the fraud.

He said that investigation into the case revealed that the accused, a resident of Sunnyville Estate, Abuja, deceived Abubakar into acquiring 15 per cent equity shares to the tune of N15 million from his company, Untamed Records Ltd.

Okezie said the accused admitted that the complainant paid the money into his Oceanic Bank account No. 00500173691, deviating from his initial plan of investment and converted the money to his personal use.

 He added that when the complainant confronted the accused, he resorted to beating her and threatened to kill her.

Okezie said the accused was charged with criminal breach of trust, criminal force, assault, cheating and criminal misappropriation which contravened sections 312,265,322 397 and 309 of the Penal Code.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Counsel to the accused, Esther Uzoma, made an oral bail application for the accused in pursuit of section 341(2) of the Criminal Procedural Code.

She prayed the court to grant the accused bail on liberal terms and for self recognition, and promised that the accused would not jump bail.

However, Okezie objected to the bail application, saying that investigation into the case was not completed, and that criminal breach of trust was not ordinarily billable.

Chief Magistrate Okeagu Azubike, said that the bail application had merit and granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He ordered that the sureties must be responsible Nigerians who must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.

He adjourned the case to Dec. 9, to enable the police complete their investigation.
