Boko Haram Kills 12 Members Of Apostolic Church

Twelve worshippers at the Christ Apostolic Church in Yola, Adamawa State were killed last night when gunmen, suspected to be members of the Boko Haram, attacked the church..

P.M.NEWS gathered that 11 of the worshippers died instantly while the twelveth died in the hospital from bullet wounds.
Non indigenes of the town, it was gathered, fled their homes in the night when they learnt of the killing and sought refuge at the General Jalo Army Barracks, Yola.
The unknown gunmen, who rode on motorcycles, entered the church and opened fire on the worshippers. Several members of the congregation sustained bullet wounds during the attack, witnesses revealed.
Five members of the church are in critical conditions at the Specialist Hospital, Yola, the report disclosed further.
Twelve mourners were also killed last Friday in Mubi, the commercial nerve centre of the state by suspected members of Boko Haram.

They were killed while holding a meeting on how to raise money to convey home the remains of three of their relatives earlier shot dead by members of the sect on Thursday before they were attacked.
The Police confirmed the incident, saying investigation was ongoing.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Simeon Midenda also confirmed the killing of an SSS operative in the state. The operative was shot dead in Biu after returning from the mosque where he went to pray. Biu is one of the 15 local governments in the country placed under emergency rule by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Meanwhile, chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former vice president Atiku Abubakar, yesterday, campaigned for the re-election of Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State despite the nationwide strike called by labour over the recent increase in petrol price and the killings in the state. The rally witnessed a large crowd despite the strike.
Obasanjo, in his message, condemned the killings by Boko Haram in the state, saying, “Adamawa is one of the states in the country that encourage inter-religious friendship among residents irrespective of where they come from.”
On his part, Abubakar said the election was as good as won because “PDP is a multi-party and will win the election because all other political parties will vote for PDP, the party they all belonged to before now.”
Streets in Maiduguri were deserted as all government and private businesses were grounded although there were no anti-subsidy removal protests.
The absence of protest was attributed to the already tense situation created by the activities of Boko Haram.
NLC Chairman in the state, Mr. Ali Abana, expressed satisfaction with the situation as most people in the state fully complied with labour directives by remaining in their homes instead of doing anything that would further jeopardise the relative peace in the state.

Soldiers kill businessman in Mushin during argument

MURDERED-04

A young man, Niyi Ehindero, was on Thursday allegedly shot dead by soldiers attached to Operation MESA Unit on Bada Street in Mushin area of Lagos.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the soldiers shot Ehindero at close range in his car, when they went to the area to disperse hoodlums who were engaged in a fierce battle...continue reading jare..all this Nigerian forces, killing people indiscriminately.

A friend of the deceased, who craved anonymity, said, “Ehindero and I just came to Bada Street to see a friend when we heard some gunshots.
“I ran into a nearby house but Ehindero was not fast enough. Eight soldiers ordered him to come out of his car but he argued with them. Suddenly, one of them shot him in the crotch and he died immediately.”
Hundreds of people gathered to see KUSH’S corpse, which was lying in a grey Toyota Highlander Sports Utility Van with number plate Lagos FF605 KRD.
Our correspondent learnt that another man identified simply as Wasiu was also shot in the leg by the soldiers.
The prolonged violence in the area recurred on Thursday as two factions of area boys engaged in a supremacy battle using guns and all manners of weapons.
It was learnt that many people sustained injuries while properties were vandalised in the violence which lasted for several hours.
The Fadeyi end of Ikorodu Road was littered with broken bottles and expended shells as well as bloodstains. Shops were locked and residents remained in their homes as the hoodlums took over the entire area.
The soldier, who headed the operation, and identified himself simply as Matthew, a Second Lieutenant, however told our correspondent that the victim was killed by the hoodlums.
He said, “We were on patrol when we realised that hoodlums had killed and injured many people. We have however arrested two of the hoodlums.
“The fight is a supremacy battle fuelled by thugs who wanted to control businesses in the area. I cannot say who started the fight but I know that because Lawani and Kadiri streets are economically buoyant, thugs from other areas always come to fight them.
“The sad thing is that innocent people either t sustained injuries or get killed when they start their fight.”
At 6pm, policemen attached to the Alakara Police Station were seen conveying the corpse to a patrol vehicle.
A resident who craved anonymity said, “He was killed by the soldiers. If the military authority is willing to investigate, all the residents are ready to testify. An autopsy will reveal that the bullet that killed him emanated from the guns of military men.”
It was learnt that Ehindero was in his 30s and was a contractor. He had two big trucks, which he used to supply sugar and rice to traders in Mushin.
He was married but had no child yet. He lived at 5, Oguntade Street, Maryland and had just returned from the United Kingdom on a business trip shortly before Christmas.
Ehindero, who was killed by OP MESA 33, was said to be a popular businessman in Mushin area where most of his customers are.
Hundreds of people gathered at the scene of his murder and rained curses on his killer and asked the Lagos State Government to invesigate his murder and brought the killers to book.
A man, who identified himself simply as Olawale, said, “How could they murder such a young and unarmed man like that in a broad day light?Even if they asked him to alight from his vehicle and he refused, is that enough to kill him?
“If they are interested in restoring peace in the area, they should have gone after the hoodlums who have been causing mayhem in the area for a long time. It is unfortunate that such a promising man should be unjustly killed in his prime like that. It is high time government restored law and order in the area.”
When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, denied any violence in Mushin.
“Don’t go and write what did not happen. There is no violence anywhere,” he said.

President Goodluck Jonathan Declares State Of Emergency In Parts Of Nigeria.

Nigeria's President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has declared a State Of Emergency in parts of the country (Borno, Yobe, Plateau & Niger States) following the recent bombings in the country. While visiting the scene of the chritsmas day bombing he described the #BokoHaram sect as a "cancerous" body that was bent on destroying the country....meanwhile.... Hmmm! President GEJ has applied some politics in the STATE OF EMERGENCY. It's shouldn't be LGAs but states. ... A State Governor is the Chief Security of his State. When s/he have lost control of his territory, a STATE OF EMERGENCY is required, 100%!!! Declaring a STATE OF EMERGENCY in LGAs of lost STATES is the most laughable of it all. President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP are at it again....besides why would it take him 6 days to visit the scene of the bomb attack that killed 37 & wounded over 57 citizens. #smh

Another Bomb blast hit Mosque in Maiduguri,Kills four…..Could This Be A Reprisal Attack?

An explosion and gunfire rocked an area near a mosque and market in northeasternNigeria on Friday, killing four people, residents said, but the military denied there was a blast and said two people had been shot dead by armed robbers.

The violence erupted after a series of Christmas Day attacks blamed on Islamist sect Boko Haram that killed at least 49 people, most of them outside a Catholic church near the capital Abuja, and triggered fears of reprisals by Christians.

Details of Friday’s incident remained unclear, with residents initially reporting a loudexplosion near a mosque in Maiduguri, a northeastern city that has borne the brunt ofviolence blamed on the Islamists.
Two residents said they later saw four dead bodies.

A spokesman for a military task force at first confirmed an explosion near the city’s main market, but later strongly denied there had been a blast, saying armed robbers had shotthree people and that soldiers were in pursuit.
Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Mohammed said several robbers had stormed a market in Maiduguri after Muslim prayers.
“In the course of trying to rob the traders, they gunned down three people,” he said, adding that two people had been killed and the third was critically ill in hospital.
He said the robbers may also be members of Boko Haram, which has been accused of carrying out armed robberies in the past to finance its activities.
A relief agency official in the city said on condition of anonymity that “many residents in Maiduguri said that they heard the blast that took place in Guddum area, behind the emir’s palace.
“But the (military task force) denied there was a blast,” the official said.
“A robbery took place in the central business district of Maiduguri and there were gunshots fired at the scene. Where the robbery took place is about a kilometre away from the scene of the blast.”
Nigeria’s security agencies have come under intense pressure to stop attacks by Boko Haram amid spiralling violence blamed on the group.
President Goodluck Jonathan met with his security chiefs for the second time in as many days in Abuja on Friday following suggestions that he may reshuffle his team.
Boko Haram has carried out scores of attacks in Nigeria, most of them in the northeast, and its targets have included Muslim leaders.
Thousands have fled Maiduguri fearing further attacks by Boko Haram and heavy-handedmilitary raids, with soldiers accused of killing civilians and burning their homes after bomb blasts.
Christian leaders have expressed mounting frustration over the Nigerian authorities’ inability to stop attacks that have killed hundreds of people this year.
They have said they will be forced to defend themselves if the authorities do not address the problem.
Amid the mounting concerns over reprisals, a bomb was thrown into an Arabic school on Tuesday in Delta state in southern Nigeria, wounding six children and an adult.
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, is roughly divided between a mainly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south.

Violence had been raging even in the days before the Christmas Day bombings, especially in the northeastern cities of Damaturu, Potiskum and Maiduguri.
Another attack hit the northeast on Wednesday night, when gunmen opened fire and threw explosives at a hotel and open-air bar in the city of Gombe, wounding 15 people, the hotel manager said.
The motive for that attack was not clear, although Boko Haram has often targeted bars.
In Damaturu last week, suspected members of Boko Haram carried out attacks followed by a military crackdown that led to clashes. A rights group and police source said up to 100 people were feared dead in the violence.
An emergency official has said an estimated 90,000 people have been displaced in Damaturu.

Girl Predicts Her Death On Facebook,Died Moments Later

A 12-year-old Texas girl posted a chilling message on Facebook that read, “I think I may die 2day,” and just hours later her mother shot her in the head. Ramie Marie Grimmer’s prophetic message was written on Monday just hours after her mother, Rachelle Grimmer, took her and brother Timothy, 10, hostage along with a human services worker at a state office in Laredo, Texas, reported MSNBC.

The standoff came to an unfortunate end later that night when Rachelle shot both Ramie and her little brother once in the head, then killed herself. Timothy remains in critical condition at a San Antonio hospital, where his sister died of her wounds on Wednesday.

The seven-hour ordeal caught the nation’s attention after it was reported that Grimmer had gotten upset with the Laredo welfare office because they denied her food stamps.

After being taken into a private room by a supervisor to discuss her case, she pulled a gun and held her hostage. She later let the woman go, and hostage negotiators and police talked with her all night while she spilled a slew of complaints against state and federal government agencies.
At around 7.50 p.m., Ramie changed the “employer” section of her Facebook account to “may die 2day.” Later at 10:34 p.m., Ramie posted, “im bored,” and then 18 minutes later, “ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhh.”

The little girl’s final post was 11:28 p.m., and read “tear gas seriasly,” which is thought to reference the SWAT team that had surrounded the building attempting to restrain her mom.
As the drama played out on the social networking site, the children’s grandmother responded: “I’m here for you guys. no reason to be afraid.”

Tragically, three shots rang out at around 11.45 p.m., and police found the body of Grimmer and her two injured children.
Grandmother Mary Lee Shepherd claims her daughter-in-law had a history of mental problems and she and her son, Dale Grimmer had contacted social workers three times because they were worried she would harm the children..

Update
10-year-old Timothy Grimmer died Thursday evening at a hospital in San Antonio after he was removed from life support.
Their father, Dale Grimmer, spent time at his son’s bedside Thursday before consulting with doctors and deciding to remove Timothy from life support, according to Mary Lee Shepherd, the children’s grandmother.
“He spent hours with Ramie and finally had to let her go,” Shepherd said. “He’s just concentrating on saying goodbye to his children.”
The boy’s sister, Ramie, died Wednesday night at the same hospital.
Authorities say their mother, 38-year-old Rachelle Grimmer, shot the children Monday night and then killed herself, ending a seven-hour standoff at the Texas Department of Health and Human Services office in Laredo, Texas.

34-Year-Old Man Butchers Mother And Dumps Dismembered Body Into Well (Graphic Content)

Both luck and the popular Yoruba saying that, 'train your child to give you rest of mind' worked against Mrs. Martina Usha, a 57-year- old resident of Maraban Rido, a suburb of Kaduna, as her son she laboured so hard to give the best of education butchered her like a cow and dumped her dismembered body in a well.
Although the incident occurred mid last month, but skeletal details were at the disposal of Crimewatch until recently, when our reporter succeeded in speaking with the 34 years old suspect, Emmanuel Usha, at the Kaduna Police Command Headquarters.

Crimewatch gathered that Martina was the first wife of Engineer Godwin Usha and a mother of three children. Her first child, a girl, was said to have died at the age of 15, leaving the woman with two boys, Emmanuel and his younger brother.

A source close to the Usha family disclosed how the suspect had been passionate about blood or had been using blood for something which is not yet known to people. According to him, Emmanuel had always loved draining blood from animals, right from his Secondary School days."Emmanuel had at one time, killed a dog in their compound, drained its blood and kept it in his room for use which is best known to only him. He did the same thing to a cat which was even very friendly with both the young and old in the compound," he recalled.

Though, the suspect had allegedly had series of quarrels with his late mother and even hit her with shovel, no one, including his parents suspected he could butcher his biological mother in such a dastardly manner. The recent problems which resulted in the death of Mrs. Martina, was said to have begun, after she relocated from Ungwan Television, where she lived with her husband, to her apartment in Sabo Tasha. Crimewatch gathered that it was at Sabon Tasha that Emmanuel made the first attempt to murder her. That was the time he allegedly used shovel to hit her on the hand.

He was later handed over to the police, after parts of his late Martina's body were recovered from the well by some experts.

Though, Engineer Usha did not want to speak to the press, he, however, confided in a journalist who is very close to the family that his son, "had given very conflicting statements at the police station, which pointed to the fact that he killed his mother.”

He said further: “At the moment, the dismembered parts of my wife have been stitched together at Barao Dikko Specialist Hospital and we will be taking the corpse to rest in the village."
Meanwhile, after several fruitless moves by the reporter, to have access to the suspect who has since the incident, been in the police net, he was eventually paraded before newsmen last Friday.
Below is the excerpt of the reporter’s interaction with the alleged mum killer:

Why are you here?
I was framed up, I went home and discovered my mother in the well and I couldn’t escape.

Who framed you up?
People who didn’t want me to believe I was a graduate from the military school. I graduated from Arizona Academy Air Force in 2010. I am presently teaching in my mother’s school.

There is an allegation that you killed your mother, what can you say about that?
I didn’t kill my mother, those who didn’t want me to believe I graduated from the military school killed her. Some of them are our neighbours, some of them even stole my uniform and the rifle I got from the academy in the country. They didn’t want me to achieve anything in this country. I know some of these people but not all of them.

What time of the day was your mother killed?
It was sometimes in the evening. I was at home earlier, before I went out to smoke. When I came back, the deed had already been done.

When you came back from where you went to, what did you see in the house?
There was nothing unusual in the house; there was also nothing to show that somebody attacked her. After my mum disappeared from the house, I went to my father’s house that night. When I was coming back, there were people around the house, waiting for me to come and open the gate, they started searching and discovered the body in the well.

You were alleged to be mopping the floor of your room the same day, what were you trying to cover up?
I was mopping oil stain. My shoes stepped on engine oil, when I was entering the house to take key to fill the generator with fuel.

What was the relationship between you and your mother like, before her death. We learnt you usually fought with her?
My mother was the one who brought me to Maraban Rido after I could not discover my house. I forgot and these people were taking my things away so, I couldn’t remember that I was having a house like that. She was the one, who brought me into the house and organized my school for me. She was the one, who was paying my school fees. I was staying with my father in Ugwan Television before, but I wasn’t doing anything because the school I finished in Nigeria, I didn’t make it, I finished Mossi Gabriel, I finished New Breed, Labayi, I even took some exams but all, I didn’t make any of the papers. I also schooled abroad at Arizona Academy, Air Force and that was the one my mother was carrying forth for me but she wasn’t telling me anything.

We learnt that you were always quarreling with your mother, how true is this allegation?
I don’t fight her always but on one occasion, I used shovel to injure her and it was because I was instructed to go to the house to collect my phone from her and she didn’t want to give it to me. And she was not paying attention to my transportation money to go back home, so I had to trek home that night, so I was annoyed and I attacked her that night. That time, I was not living with her, I was living with my father in Television, while she was living in Sabo at that time.

Who are you suspecting to have killed your mother?
I suspect our neighbour, where she used to keep the things she took away from me before I woke up.

What are those things?
My uniform, my rifle, I have a rifle that I was given in the country when I finished. My identity card was an international number, I was supposed to separate it into two, I gave the national ID card. Whenever they give it to me, I’m supposed to wake up the following day, after the injection my head swagger.

So, what were you doing with gun?
Yes, I have a gun, it was given to me in the country, because I attended an Air Force Academy. When you are a scholar with them, they give you a rifle for protection. They signed it for me and I was supposed to finish with my commission.

What about your mother’s handset which you were alleged to have taken?
She travelled and came back that morning, we didn’t have time to talk, so, I came back in the evening from school. She asked me about the handset I sold, I denied taking the handset. Later, she discovered that the second handset was missing. She was very annoyed that she didn’t realize that she was not having the communication system in the house. So, while she was barking at me, I went to the room and she went out. That was the last time I saw my mother alive.

The police recovered a very sharp knife from your room, what were you doing with it and the shovel found under your mattress?
It is the knife I used in peeling oranges when my mother buys for me. The shovel is my rifle I was using in Arizona Academy, it was a gun but they changed it to shovel for safety.

Do you smoke and what do you smoke?
Yes, I smoke cannabis and cigarette.

Have you ever been taken for any rehabilitation in the past?
Several times, my mother took me for rehabilitation. I don’t drink, when I drink, I vomit and I fall very sick so my mother was concerned. She told my father about it and they went to complain to NDLEA about it. They took me there for rehabilitation, since then, I don’t drink alcohol again. I only smoke.

What led you into drugs?
In the school, it was a project that I should continue smoking, because it is something I used when I am on patrol, so that I will not be bored. We were trained that way in school to smoke. When my mother gave me my ID card, I realized that it was true, I was an army, the clothes given were that of army but my eyes could not see the colour actually. I don’t see green because they didn’t give me my glass to see.

How do you feel about your mother’s death?
I feel very bad because people believe that I killed my mother. I am actually the one in need of my mother, because she promised to give me all the things she seized from me before going to stay with my brother in Sabo.

Man Murders Prostitute on Christmas Eve After Finding Out She Was a "MAN"

A Kansas City man confessed to police he murdered a prostitute in a rage after finding out she was really a man. Kenyan L. Jones, 26, faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Darnell D. Pearson, 31.

He told police he picked up the prostitute on Christmas Eve and paid to have sexual relations with her, believing she was a woman.

Several hours later Jones became aware the prostitute was actually a man, he left him to get a handgun before finding Mr Pearson in a different area of town and 'popped him'.

Police said they found the 31-year-old's body just before midnight after an eye witness called 911 and told dispatchers he saw a man in a hoodie running from the scene.

According to The Kansas City Star, they arrested him and found a handgun, hoodie and cellphone with video images of Jones on it a short distance away.

After Receiving 99 Lashes, Woman, Sentenced To Death By Stoning On Allegations Of Adultery May Be Hanged

A woman who was to be stoned to death in Iran on an adultery conviction could be hanged instead.
Authorities said today they were moving ahead with plans to execute the woman but are reconsidering what punishment to carry out.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani is already in prison serving a ten-year sentence on a separate conviction for the murder of her husband.

Her case has generated international outrage and last July Iranian officials suspended plans to carry out her death sentence on the adultery conviction.
A senior judiciary official said experts were studying whether the punishment of stoning could be changed to hanging.

Malek Ajdar Sharifi, the head of justice department of East Azerbaijan province, where Ashtiani is jailed said: 'There is no haste. ... We are waiting to see whether we can carry out the execution of a person sentenced to stoning by hanging or not.
'As soon as the result (of the investigation) is obtained, we will carry out the sentence.'

The charge of a married woman having an illicit relationship requires a punishment of stoning, he said.
She was sentenced to death by stoning for adultery after suffering years of abuse at the hands of her drug addict husband.

Ashtiani's lawyer said she was allegedly beaten and sold for sex by opium-addict Ebrahim Ghaderzade.
She was jailed for ten years for murder and sentenced to death for adultery. She was also convicted of having illicit relations for which she received 99 lashes

Family Of Four Killed In Machete Attack In Plateau State.

A family of four people was killed in a machete attack in Nigeria's ethnically and religiously mixed Plateau state on Wednesday, the state government's spokesman said.

There was no suggestion the killings had any link to Sunday's church bombings. The radio station said the victims were Christians from the local Berom tribe and the attackers suspected to be Fulani herdsman, who are normally Muslims.

"A Bomb exploded today in Madalla, a village near Abuja, We Muslims are deeply touched by dis unfortunate event. And want to call on the attention of all Christians to reason logically before start pointing fingers. This bomb was not set by Muslims but rather a hidden force trying to send the Christians and muslims of this country to war with each other. There is an external force behind this. THIS IS THE BITTER TRUTH, before we start hating each other, we should ask ourselves how far these people can go, in order to take over a country. WE SHOULD NOT BE FOOLED!!!

President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned the blasts at the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State; Jos, Plateau State; and Damaturu, Yobe State, saying the bombing of innocent citizens on a day millions of people all over the World are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is a dastardly act that must attract the rebuke of all peace-loving Nigerians.

Man burns woman alive in New York elevator

Police in New York are looking for a man who doused a woman with a flammable liquid and lit her on fire, killing her, in the elevator of a Brooklyn apartment building Saturday.

Neighbors said the woman was returning home to her fifth floor apartment in Prospect Heights after a grocery store trip.

When the elevator arrived, the man -- dressed as an exterminator -- sprayed her with an unidentified liquid, set her alight and then fled, police said.

Residents told CNN affiliate WCBS they heard screams and saw smoke -- and realized a woman was on fire inside the elevator.
"Myself and someone from the sixth floor went down knocking to get people out. Knocking on doors telling people 'There's a fire, get out, get out," a resident named John told the station. He did not want to give his last name.

Neighbor Carmen Martinez told the station that the victim was a woman in her 60s who had lived in the building since the 1980s.

"She used to give toys and gifts to kids all the time," Martinez told the station.

The attack was caught on two surveillance cameras. Photos that police released of the attacker shows a man dressed in dark blue clothes, white gloves, with a dust mask on his head and carrying a container on his back.

Driver's Account Of How A Delta State Gubernatorial Aspirant, Ogbe Onokpite, Was Allegedly Murdered By The Nigerian Police

1

I had driven my boss to Warri some days before; my boss has a place in Warri so we were staying at his place in the city. I have never been to Warri before, this was my first time. I have met Chief Ogbe Onokpite on several occasions before because my boss had made me drive him to and fro in the city. On that faithful day, I brought my boss to the hotel, he had told me that we were picking up the Chief as they were supposed to be going to a meeting.....Touching story...may those who killed him never know peace..continue reading.

My boss called the Chief on his phone and the Chief stuck his head out his hotel room window and beckoned by boss to come upstairs to meet him. He got out of the car and went into the hotel.
There were only two other cars in the hotel that day, one Toyota Camry and a Mercedes 230, I parked the car next to them and went into the hotel lobby and sat down to wait, there were about five men in the lobby.

Minutes later, Chief Onokpite came down to the hotel lobby about to leave the hotel, he called me to drive him somewhere, he was talking to a man in the lobby and asked to him to join him, as he was doing this he was still walking out to the car, this man refused the offer and the Chief tried to persuade him but he still refused and he was just giving the Chief excuses, that he had been drinking and he was tired, the Chief insisted saying " I am not going far, look I just have flip-flops on, I am just going around the corner to pick up something" The man refused still, making more excuses all this time did not even come out the lobby.

We got into the car and as I turned the ignition and put the car in reverse, just then, a man whom I had seen earlier standing by the gate raised up the barrier at the gate and a jeep drove in very fast and stopped a man in plain clothes jumped out screaming "there is a robbery in progress every body get down, lie down every body, robbery taking place in room 305"

At first I was confused and I thought perhaps the man was a robber, we jump out of the car and lay down as instructed, when I looked around, I saw that the man whom I thought was the gateman was brandishing a gun and so also was two others I had seen earlier inside the hotel lobby. About ten men all dressed in civilian clothes appeared from no where with guns shooting in the air and a lot of police officers rushed into the compound. It became clear to me that they have been waiting around the hotel for the Chief.

The man from the jeep went into the hotel and ordered some men upstairs to the Chief's room saying "go to room 305 finish anybody there hurry" when the men went upstairs, the man from the jeep got on the phone and he was pacing up and down and said several times on the phone "Yes your Excellency" "Yes your Excellency"

He walked back the lobby, at this time some uniformed police were with him at the lobby, he gave them three photographs and one of them walked up to us, at this time the Chief was trying to send a text to someone, they took his phone and held the photographs to his face and said this is him. The man one the phone then said to who ever he was speaking to "We have him your Excellency"

They put handcuffs on us and put us in one Toyota Hilux, it was here that I saw that they had used about five vehicles to block the entrance to the hotel and a lot more were parked around, with police officers everywhere. At this point we heard more gunshots coming from upstairs in the hotel, remembering my boss was upstairs, I was scared for his life.

All this time the man from the Jeep was still on the phone and he came up to where we were being held, still on the phone, you cold see that he was taking instructions from whoever he was on the phone with, he ordered the police officers to take the Chief out of the van "Drop him, drop him" they took him out and an officer tore his T-shirt he was wearing so it was hanging in shreds of him, the man on the phone then barked out "Shoot him legs" a light skinned officer in plain clothes stepped forward and shot the Chief both legs. He was then put back in the van. All this time the Chief is asking them, "What is going on? I have rights; you can't treat me like this"

They put a black cloth over our heads and drove us away, the cloth was not thick so I could still see through it, on the way, the police were shooting into the air. We were taken to a police station. They took off the covers from our heads and started beating us. A man who was also taken from the hotel with us probably in another vehicle was put next to us, he was the one with the Toyota Camry at the hotel, they were beating us and he said that the car belonged to his wife and that she is a lawyer, he said he was there booking a room, they let him go immediately. Then they tied us up the Chief and myself and dragged us on the ground to the back.

There were more than fifty police officers present, they were kicking, punching us on the ground. Most of the beating was directed at the Chief and all this time as they were beating him, they were laughing and saying horrible things to the Chief "Stupid man, you dey challenge people wey pass you" (You are challenging people who are above you)

The Chief was a really brave man, as they were beating him he never once begged but instead he kept saying to them "Don't be treating me like this, I am a hero in Delta State. Ayeri and Governor Uduaghan want me to work with them and I refused, it has nothing to do with you people, they are using you like slaves"

They kept beating the Chief and mocking him, one of them came and stabbed him in his right arm with a knife. From what I saw, all the police officers knew the Chief, they all knew who he was and it seemed like he knew most of them to, he kept calling some of them by their names, one Alhaji came and the Chief called to him saying " Alhaji tell them to stop this" The Alhaji replied "Ogbe, I don dey warn you, you no listen, now see wetin don happen" (Ogbe, I have been warning you but you wouldn't listen, now you see what has happened)

The Chief saw another officer, he was in a black uniform but not the regular police uniform with a logo on it, the Chief must have known him well because he called him, I can't remember the name any more but it was an English name, "…. You too, you are here and they are treating me like this and you let it happen? The officer replied "Yes, I dey here, you fool, you don finish" (Yes I am here, you fool, you are finished) this officer came to him and kicked in the chest.

They stripped the Chief naked and kept on beating and mocking him, all this time, I could still see the jeep from the hotel and the man was still on the phone, at one point the Chief said to the officers, "I see now that I am going to die today, so please let me talk to my wife, she is in Canada, we have a daughter and she is supposed to come first week of December so I can see my child and it is my wife's birthday on the 4th of December, let me just say goodbye" The officers replied "too late for that idiot" They continued beating him, if you look at him, you will see boot marks from them kicking him. The chief called to of the officers and said "Look, I am a hero in this State, I cannot take this treatment, just shoot me instead" The police officer replied "I am sorry but I cannot shoot you"
Some other officers came and said that people have come to A-division to look for the Chief. The man on the phone moved closer to us still talking on the phone and he said into the phone "Yes your Excellency, it will be done" He turned to the officers and said "make this thing no reach five minutes, Oya finish am off" (Don't let this take too long, finish him off)

At this time I was by the feet of the Chief, an officer came up to the Chief and was about to cover his head with the black cloth, the Chief pulled away screaming
"No, No, No cover, No cover. Don't cover my face, let me die like a man"
"Shut up" the officer retorted and covered his head anyway, then they also put the T-shirt that they had torn off him over his head and they shot him about four times in his chest. They were hailing the officer that shot him, they were calling him "Boko Haram" I believe that this is his nick name.
They put a cloth over my head and were dragging me further to the back and I was really scared and I started saying "I no know anything o, I be Yoruba. Na driver I be"(I don't know anything, am Yoruba. I am just a driver) one officer ran up to them and asked them "who is this man"? They replied, "he was with the Chief when we arrested him"

This officer asked me "who are you" and I replied "I am a Yoruba boy from Lagos, I am just a driver, I don't know anything or anywhere in Warri, I am just a driver" he spoke to them and said, make una leave am for now, take am inside make we see wetin we go do" (Let him be for now, take him inside until we figure out what to do). They then called a photographer to take pictures of Chief Ogbe Onokpite's corpse.

They took me into an office and left me there, I saw a man sitting there and thinking he was an officer, I asked him for water but he told me that he too was arrested at the hotel and brought here. I remember he said his name was Benjamin. They left us there until later that night and at about 9pm, they brought in a young man and put him with us. They asked him if he knew me and he said no and they asked me and I said that I have never seen him before in my life.

They wrote his statement for him and told him to sign, which he did. They wanted to write for me and I told them that I can write for myself and I did. The young man was subsequently identified as Malik. When the officers left us alone, he started talking to me, asking what was going on but I was too scared and in shock to speak. He looked very worried and confused and did not seem to know what was going on. I decided to keep my mouth shut and not say anything.

Later the officers started talking about taking us to the prison cells and they said that there was one particular Oga (boss) who was supposed to sign the papers to put us in the prison cells, they said that he had come by before and left but that he will certainly come back.

At about 12 midnight, the officer arrived, he was an Igara man, he came to the office and saw us and turned to the officers saying "Shey una no take the Malik statement in front of these people?" (Hope you did not take Maliks' statement in front of these people?) The officers just looked at each other guiltily and he said to them "Stupid idiots, come on take him from here and do it again" They took Malik away for two hours and later brought him back to us and then they took us all and put us in the prison cell.

Very early the next morning, they came and took Malik away, they were saying "CP don come from Asaba" (Commissioner of Police has come from Asaba) He was away for a very long time and when they brought him back, he said to us "E be like say this thing big o, I no know wetin dey happen but dem carry many people from press come, some dey take my picture, others dey video me. E be like say na serious matter o" (It seems like this thing is big, I don't even know what is happening, but they brought a lot of people from the press and some are taking pictures of me others filming me. I think it's a very serious matter)

A lawyer came for me on Sunday, who was sent by my boss. I found out later that the name of our IPO is Meduga, our IPO came back and took Malik away again andafter a long time the people in the cells started saying that Malik has definitely been taken to Asaba, to our surprise, they brought him back later that night.
On Monday morning, our IPO came and took Malik away and that is the last time I saw him, I did not hear from my lawyer on Monday and on Tuesday in the evening I was released to a bailiff.
I have been getting calls from the IPO (Meduga) and he said to me that the car papers are nowhere to be found and I should check if I have them on me or that if they are in the car, I should come and show it to them. I have not returned to the police since then because I believe God has personally intervened to save me. I am afraid for my life and I want to stay out of this.

Question of the day.... Did Gov Uduaghan of Delta State ..... order the Extra-Judicially Murdered of a Gubernatorial Aspirant, Chief Ogbe Onokpite? An order the police executed joyfully?

I have killed your children, come and get the bodies': Chilling phone call father made to his ex-wife after cutting throats of their two children

Regina Chouckett Say was murdered by her fatherRolls Say was murdered by his father
A father woke his two children and slit their throats while they desperately tried to fight him off before calling his ex-wife to say: 'I have killed your children'.

Jean Francis Say, 62, murdered his eight-year-old daughter Regina and son Rolls, 10, to 'spite' his estranged wife Adjoua, 44, after he was told he was to be evicted from their three-bedroom flat.
Adjoua, who is known as Antoinette, had moved out with the children six months previously and Say was no longer entitled to the flat their once shared in Southwark, south east London.

Today at the Old Bailey Say, originally from the Ivory Coast, pleaded guilty to the double murders through an interpreter. He is due to be sentenced on Monday afternoon.

The children, who he had custody of at the time, were playing computer games before Say knifed them sometime between Saturday, February 12 and the early hours of the following day.
He then phoned Adjoua accusing her of 'defaming him on Facebook' saying 'I have killed your children. I have killed your children. I have called the police and am waiting for them.'
He called 999 and then redialled her number and told her: 'Come and get the bodies.'

Officers found the retired concierge and part-time football steward sitting beside the bodies of his children, who had been dead for several hours

On being led out of the flat Say pointed to some documents and said: 'This paper is evidence of why I did it.' The papers related to his eviction.

Prosecutor Ed Brown QC in his opening notes not read to the court said: 'In the early morning of Sunday, February 13, this defendant killed his own children.

'He took their lives as they lay where they slept. They were quite defenceless.

'It is likely that each of the children tried to fend off the attack upon them by their father before they were each quickly overwhelmed and killed by him.

'The dreadful fact is that the defendant took a knife and cut the throat of each child as they lay where they had been sleeping.

The evidence suggests that the defendant carried out the killing to spite his estranged wife, the mother of his children.'

He said the children had been killed some time before he made the calls to Adjoua, and Rolls had suffered forceful blows to the head while he was still alive in addition to knife wounds to his neck.
Oh Chineke…where this man come get this oyibo brain…Africans don’t behave like this na. Smh
